Chris would do a good job but I'm not sure he is what they will be looking for. I've always thought Chris would be better suited to Britains Got Talent. Get rid of bloody David Walliams!

Don't know really now I come to think of it, just generally the idea of guessing what he might do next, is, dare I say it, bollocks.

I don't think there's anything wrong with a bit of speculation myself. After all, we're all fans and all keen to see/hear more of Chris!

Even Chris wouldn't tempt me to watch X-Factor. Or Britain's Got Talent. Or any of those pathetic "talent" shows.

I resent that.

Me neither.

Surely the obvious choice for a talent show for Chris would be whichever one Andrew Lloyd Webber chooses to do next; given he asked Chris to star in JCS he must rate him as a talent. He could easily slot into a judging role there.

Well that would rate as more than a pathetic talent show. At least those ones have something of integrity to them, even if the format is cheesy as *.

He does one song for 5 minutes at the start of the second act. That isn't really "starring" now is it?

It would be a shame if his public profile drops, as fat lads with stubble won't be told they look like that Gobby shite of the Radio anymore.

Of course they do. And they are probably right, in the context of their sphere of the performing arts. I'm not a theatre buff though, I have a less highbrow take on it than they would.

Did the 10pm slot permanent replacement ever actually get announced?
I only ask as the very excellent Eoghan Mc Dermott announced hes leaving XFM on Friday. I know I said it before here but hes a fantastic talent, my faith in R1 would be restored if he got a decent slot with them

Phil Taggart and Alice Levine are going to be presenting the 10pm slot.

They're taking over the request show.

Apparently a friend I caught up with at Christmas claims to know big wigs at the beeb and the concensus there is that this 'webcast' will be delivered freely on weekdays, either daily or a Monday weekday download before a charge is taken for his own company. He will sit tightly til mayo, Evans or wright pops off. He's too big for r1 & still holds massive resentment. I predict aled to feature strongly in moyles future projects too. Not dave or Dom - no love lost - as they do the student union discos for £500-1000 a pop. Probably more pro rata than r1 anyway

Silly press release (including oh-so funny gag about Moyles' weight): http://www.minsterfm.com/news/local/848 ... ve-season/

I guess they offered more money than North Norfolk Digital?

Is he taking the 'Wrestle Talk TV' gig off Joel, formally of JK and Joel? If so, that's big business.

I have read this through three times and I still don't actually know what ideas it is trying to express.

I believe he's also working on relaunching a military-based general knowledge quiz show called 'Skirmish', previously shown on UK Conquest. I understand Challenge are provisionally interested.

Have to say back when the show ended I would not have thought that by January we would still be none the wiser about whats next for Chris.

In hindsight it's been a bit of a sad year, with 3 of my favourite shows, Sara Cox, Moyles, and Eoghan on XFM all coming to an end. So much of the radio landscape is just very bland in comparison right now.

Not directly Chris-related, but now we know what's next for Freya. From her twitter page: "I am a Londoner (about to start) living in New York. Also I'm Director of Talent for BBC America." Pretty good step up for her I think. Welcome to America Freya!

Director of Talent... interesting title. I would think that everything BBC America shows is also seen back in the UK. I wonder her Director of Talent position means she will be responsible for hiring people to appear on programs just for BBC America?
