The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

That's interesting - I genuinely had no idea such a high proportion was spent on BBC One, although it makes sense I suppose. Also, I wish the percentages for BBC 3 and BBC 4 were switched over.

Me too. I love BBC4 - I can pretty much always find something from there to watch on the iplayer if I'm bored. When everyone else is tweeting a reality show or something I'm always watching some obscure documentary on BBC4 :)

Me too! I don't watch BBC 4 'live' very often, but I enjoy browsing the documentaries on iPlayer. My preferred topic is history, in pretty much any area but especially social history or history of popular culture, which the BBC always does so well.

I've downloaded the documentary on Clara Bow to my desktop and can't wait to watch it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... Clara_Bow/

Dave's show should be worth a listen - three counties is one of the oldest technical installations (a mark 3 desk with 'upside down' faders). If he's driving the desk himself, it could be fun.

Have to say Dave was pretty good on 3CR - and it looked from the webcam like he was driving the desk himself.

Dom must be gutted that Dave got a local radio gig before he did!

Or he might be pleased for his mate.

Dave wasn't a presenter on R1 though really. He was a sidekick at best.

I s'pose he kind of co-presented with Chappers.

I have to think Dom is going to either phone it at some point or make an in-studio appearance given his professed love of local radio.

Just got done listening to Dave's show. I thought he did pretty good. I think there were a couple of spots where he wanted to let go and really say what was on his mind like he would have on R1, but he checked himself. I also wonder if he came up with the football-related contest early on in the show. It certainly had his fingerprints all over it. Really great hearing him on the radio again!

I listened to Dave's show on iPlayer last night. I thought he done a really good job; he handled the sensitive issue of the day well (the counterfeit booze) and on the whole seemed as if he had good control of the desk and the show.

To be honest; it's a shame it appears only to be a 2 week stint; I will definately try to tune in live on Saturday morning whilst doing the mornign chores this week.

I'm sure Helen Legh (Chris' ex) does the Saturday Breakfast Show normally on Three Counties... is he standing in for her?

Edit: it would appear she does Sunday breakfast, not Saturday.

It appears Dave is doing a show on BBC 3 Counties Radio - Saturday Breakfast Show.

I've listened on iplayer and it is very entertaining. Some funny technical slip ups which rather than doing what most DJs do and pretend they didn't happen, Dave will joke about it. It is that kind of open and honest presenting which made the old R1 breakfast show make you feel a part of it!

Take a listen if you live in the area or listen back on iplayer. It's good!

*Bump*

Dave seems to have dropped off the radar - I don't follow him on Twitter, what's he up to? Is he married again yet?

Nothing is happening with Dave. Absolutely nothing.

Oh, he hosted an awards show with Dom. I assume it was horrible.

In more hilarious news, Jayne is writing some sort of sitcom.

How does one paste sections of twitter pages into posts? I've tried in the past with no success. Is the problem that I'm not actually on Twitter?

Chris did one himself (an insurance industry thing) the other week. They're probably 'good payers' to host but are pretty excruciating to attend. I didn't go to this one so don't know how he did, only saw the photo of him with one of the execs at my work on our intranet.
