I loved the first three seasons of Dexter and then in the fourth I just lost interest and abandoned it halfway through. Edited to remove my idiot spoiler, apologies Badger...

Oh crap, sorry. It's not a massive plot point really, you see it coming pretty early on.

You didn't see it coming.

And by it, I mean his willy-vanilly.

At that point it was still weird to me that he was straight after watching Six Feet Under.

To be fair, neither of them will be the machine they should be... Not even using the most up to date graphic drivers in 'em, FFS.

I'm a bit surprised you lost interest in this particular season. The whole Trinity Killer season is considered to be one of the show's best. Missed whatever spoiler you posted, but the final 5 minutes or so of that season's finale was a truly OMG moment (and I'm not usually one to use "OMG" because it annoys the hell out of me in general).

I've seen every season of the show (don't know if the most recent one is currently running over on your side of the Atlantic). For me, the worst season was last years'. It started out well, but then it jumped the shark several times IMO. This most recent season definitely redeemed the show to a large extent for me and my wife. Won't go into any spoilers, but suffice it to say - the shit definitely hits the fan.

Some proper snigger moments mixed in with a crime/cop/forensic/serial killer format.

As I mentioned above. Totes fabubollocks.

My dad got bought the box set for his birthday, I may have to steal that away.

Currently still working my way through ER!

Loved Spooks originally but they changed around the cast too much for me in the last few series.

Reminds me of Hustle - another brilliant programme. Not sure why my mind links those 2!

Finally got around to watching 49 Up on Netflix. Now I just have to wait for 56 Up to get out of theaters and get on the TV. Anybody else ever see these documentaries?

I've seen them all. They are excellent. Do go and watch everything from 7 Up if you can.

I've seen them all except for 56 Up. And I agree - they are excellent. By an odd coincidence the guy who immigrated to Wisconsin (Nicholas Hitchon) is a professor at the same university that I work at (although we don't work in the same department). And I'm pretty certain that he lives (or has lived at one time) in the town that I currently live in (Verona).

I agree. I'm a big fan of Greg McHugh's work. Obviously people in the UK can watch it on the iplayer but it's not the same.

I've been getting so fed up with the trailers for that, I have been put off watching it.

I am looking forward to The Following, with Kevin Bacon and the gorgeous James Purefoy which starts on 22 Jan. Looks interesting to me.
