The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

So then, which of the birthday shows has been the best. I've left the subject open so team members birthdays can be considered but generally I'd say Chris' have been the most memorable. I mean I liked The Aled Jones show and I liked the show from the BT Tower....but which is best? There's only one way to find out.

Way too much to drink but which birthday show was the best?

To my mind, it may not have been the best but when they got the whole station singing "He wakes up the world" was the most memorable, just for Chris' reaction when he saw Scott, Edith, Jo, Parf Daddy et al joining in.

Although I love the "Greatest DeeJay" vid-yo. But what was memorable for you?

Erm , well (this may not make much sense as I is p*ssed) but I think the most memorable to me is the BT Tower one

I have at least the 2000 one which I have copied over but am too pissed to edit at present, I shall have to see if I have anymore :D

Chaz and Dave were good a few years back, the BT Tower show was ace also. Did Joss Stone also go on the show on his birthday and gave that really cringeworthy interview? That was brilliant.

Last years show though was possibly the best for me, from Daves opening link where he was trying to play the jingles (if anyone has that link anywhere can they upload it please? :D ), then you had Mark Ronson and Daniel Merryweather, and of course The Chris Moyles Show Choir' in there as well.

The BT Tower as great but it also had Dave's rubbishness written all over it at times (Chico anyone?)

Last years with Mark Ronson etc was probably my favourite though

Considering that up the BT Tower was the only outside broadcast Bday show, I would say this would have to win. I think the excitement really came over, and the way they captured the look on his face here was priceless. It's just not something that could ever happen to anyone else, not at that time of the morning, at least. Roy Walker, Live jingle singers, plus it didn't lack in the song department either, McFly were on hand for that. The Longman was still around too. It could've basically been a 3 hour telly show.

If theres a 2nd place on offer I'd say even though the Gary Barlow thing this year was special, last year's edges it thanks to the comedy of 'Justin Lee Carr' for singing through the show, it gave it that fun factor from start to finish.

Gary's video was great but that was the only real element of this year's show. Maybe there's been budget cutbacks or something. There was the time they all went to Alton Towers for the day but that didn't really involve the show much either.

Sorry for the massive bump but I've been listening to the Birthday show shows over the last couple of weeks. I'm only on 2007 at the moment (the awful Joss Stone interview 8-O ) but it's his Birthday in a little over 2 weeks so I wonder what Mr Moyles will be doing. Whatever it is, it will be the first time it wasn't celebrated on air. Shame.

For the record, the 2005 birthday with Abi Titmus doing the sport is my fave, so far at least.

The BT Tower show was before I started listening, so I will look forward to that one. The one that stands out for me was the one from Chris' home.

I was going to say pretty much the same thing. Since I only started listening late 2008/early 2009 I only have a handful of bday shows to consider. The one from his home was pretty good IMO. I'll also be looking forward to listening to the BT Tower show.

I thought it was clever while friends kept Chris at the pub for a long Sunday afternoon, engineers furiously installed and hid equipment for the next day. I forget how they convinced him to sleep in Monday. Finding mystery guest on his toilet was funny

Unfortunately the BT Tower one was also before my time. One of my favorites is already mentioned JLC and Alan Carr jingle singing, and the brilliant "He Wakes Up The World"!

But my favorite is 2012, and the live orchestra. Merely because hearing all the show jingles sung and played live was absolutely awesome. And Sara Cox jumping out of a cake.
