Throughout wrestling history there has been a wrestler who has had a racist angle or racist undertones to them. The character you refer to is Jack Swagger, a former champion college wrestler who has failed to ever really connect with the audience. They have given him this new role to "get over" with the crowd. He has an older gentleman with him playing the role of Zeb Colter, a Vietnam veteran who served with Jack's dad. While the gimmick is provocative its important to say its nothing compared to some of the stuff the WWE used to do when the product wasn't PG.
The whole thing might be quite short lived as last night Jack Swagger was arrested for driving whilst under the influence. He was caught with a lot of dope in his car, something the WWE takes very seriously. He is a talented wrestler but clearly an idiot for potentially blowing his big chance.

Swagger was always a waste of hype. His lisp was his biggest selling point. There hasn't been an overtly racist angle for quite a while though that I can think of (last being that guy who was a Muslim?).

A steel chair that miraculously buckles and/or shatters on medium impact? Probably never, but the real thing has definitely happened. Squash players are FAR stupider than wrestlers - see this: -
