Flowers from Mr Red. I decided to put them in the office to brighten it up. Even in a coffee pot, they still look lovely.

I had daffodils in a teapot last week - they looked fab, as do the flowers in the coffee jug!

What's the occasion Nic, or is he just after brownie points?!

I can confirm, Nic gives these out without a need for floral fees.

It looks and smells a * sight better than what would normally go in that pot.

And good Lord, let's not start another coffee debate, please.

Coffee stinks and is disgusting. No debate here.

No, it was good lord, not gay lord. Honestly.

I like tea. On the whole.

None of you really like coffee. Not really. I absolutely refuse to believe that anyone actually likes that vile taste, it must be that you see other people pretending they like it and want to stay in with the crowd. That's the only even vaguely logical reason I can see.

I've tried to like coffee, pretty much for the reasons Topher said - there is a whole social imperative based around drinking coffee, and I didn't want to miss out. But however wrong "going for tea" sounds, I never managed to convince myself coffee was nice.

Believe me, I would not spend anywhere near as much as I spend in Starbucks to "stay in with the crowd". I'm perfectly willing to concede that I'm stupid for giving them a large chunk of my money when I'm poor to start with, but even I'm not stupid enough to do it if I wasn't even enjoying the end product. I absolutely love my morning latte and in the absence of the Moyles show, it's my one remaning ritual that eases me into the working day. There's no social aspect - at least half the time (and it was all the time before I was with Mr Red) I go in and buy my coffee alone and take it out with me. I'm sorry that people don't understand how much I love coffee, but it's kind of insulting to my intelligence to suggest that I'm faking it!

I think it's unfair to suggest you fake liking coffee.

Being a fake Vegan is another thing entirely. People are vegans purely to seek attention and to feel good about themselves.

Heresy!

As for coffee, it really does taste boggin'. Strangely I quite like the smell, but it just doesn't taste nice. A cup of tea is a much better alternative.

Well, I'm a real vegan, not a fake one. You're half right though, the knowledge that no animals have died in the name of my food makes me feel pretty darn good. I have certainly been known to seek attention, like most humans, but as experiments in that go, 14yrs of veganism would be a long, tedious, mainly unsuccessful one.
