I don't get it either, but I've witnessed it often enough. I'm sure its 90% psychological, but that doesn't make it any less real. I'm seeing it right now in fact - a colleague has come in after having a fasting blood test, so she hadn's had her coffee - she was baggy eyed, monosyllabic and generally zombie like. She has now had her first coffee and is visibly transforming once more into a human being.

The reason I know it is psychological is that I made the coffee, and as an experiment I used Decaff.

I'm sure a great deal of mine is psychological - like I say, it's just part of my morning routine. But I know it isn't entirely, cos if I go a day without caffeine I get a very specific sort of thumping headache at around 4pm, without fail. I do know that once you're addicted to a certain level of caffeine, it isn't actually doing anything for yor energy anymore - it's just bringing you back to base level, so to speak.

What about the knowledge that thousands of living organisms still have? Plants are living things too you know...

Is Capital FM London nationwide on digital, does anyone know? Or only via the internet? Alas, Radio Today is blocked here (Lord knows why) so apologies if the answer is within the article.

I'm planning on listening through the Tunein Radio app for iOS, which also lets you record the shows which I would do, but unfortunately I leave for uni usually at about 8 so would lose connection.

Bum, I don't know what to do now, I listen to Jon Holmes on the Xfm Breakfast Show currently in the morning and I think it's brilliant but I also want to listen to Dom on capital.. I suppose I'll have to listen to the podcast of Xfm Breakfast and listen to Capital Live. I've never listened to Capital before, is it good?

Haha. I love it when people say this. There was a guy called John Holmes who was a pornstar but this Jon Holmes is a different guy entirely.

Yeah I get what you mean, I love it though purely because I am a teenage boy and I still have a very childish sense of humor and I find this sort of thing funny.

If there are generous atmospherics, I listen to XFM in the morning on the way to work, I do like his "Inappropriate X List" feature.

Although I'll be in the same boat with Capital - too far into Kent to listen regularly!

The X list feature is brilliant. My favorite feature has to be the thought of the day for satanists and also the Stephen Hawking one, quite bizarre but really funny to listen to.

I've only been able to listen for about half an hour of his show usually, regardless of the weather I lose it in Tunbridge Wells!

Ironically, the station I do struggle with is KMFM.

For some reason KMFM really struggles in West Kent, even though they have 101.6 and 96.2.

101.6 comes from Wrotham transmitter, so that should cover Sevenoaks. Having said that, it's only a 200W transmitter. 96.2 comes from T Wells, and seems to fall short of Sevenoaks by a couple of miles.

I must admit I haven't tried Capital in Tunbridge Wells, but around the area I work I definitely lose XFM. I also struggle to get it in Aylesford, where I live.
