James H will probably understand just how bad it was if I explain in the five hours I managed to get from the rugby club in town to near Bradbourne. It was horrible.

Yes, I feel your pain Char, it took me two hours to get from Aylesford to Kings Hill (5 miles) before I gave up and went home. The roads were unbelievable yesterday!

Sorry to hear about your job DTJ, fingers crossed it all works out!

Just been given 3 weeks notice at my current employers - workload is shite (I knew that) and staff have gotta go.

Feck.

That is a big bag of wank sir.

I'm sure you'll be fine.

Chrys might need someone to help wheel that big barrow of cash around for him.
(back handed congrats to Chrysostom in there somewhere)

I live north Northamptonshire (nr Kettering) so while London is geographically closer, its a pain in the twat to get to. Commuting by car will be a no-no, and although the train is on a direct route, from door to door will be longer time wise (2.5hrs+). If a short term contract, I'd consider getting digs down there and doing the 'go to work monday, come home friday' thing, but thats hard work too, missing family and jazz.

But, we'll see. Not hitting the panic button quite yet - if I'm still sat around in my pants by late spring I will be, but initially a change is as good as a break etc.

Soz, that may be my fault. But, £87,000 p/a is quite a bit mate....

We used to go every year to Wicksteed Park with my Grandad. I work at Sywell, which is not too far from Kettering.

And more than 3 times my wage! (although as we all know, £87k is one third of yours :P)

Do you now! I know where that is, not too far at all! Didn't know you worked up 'ere (there? - given I'm says that from Sheffield).

Oi, I told you that in confidence! Plus, you'll set of one of Bobs jealousy attacks.

Not north. Barely into the midlands.

Someone on twitter, who I don't think is a member of this forum, is bugging me for a clip of a Dev show. It seems a bit like taking advantage of my good nature...

Just hope he's not taken advantage of any pictures you have of yourself on there to make his pee-pee cry milky tears.

You can't 'have pictures' on twitter, it isn't facebook. You have a profile pic, which (as you know!) is me in my glasses looking like a big old geek. You can post pics...but why would I ever have posted racy pics on twitter? My little brother follows me. Mainly I post pics from my instagram, which are things like my antique typewriter or my tofu smoothies. Not to mention the fact that I don't post or send anything saucy anymore full stop, as I am very happily attached and committed to Mr Red.

Pictures of girls don't have to be racy to go in the bank.

That's a good point well put :)

Got exams all next week, I'm annoyed at myself because I don't feel I've revised enough for them. Just want to get this week over with.

Yes, just like n*g**r isn't a racial slur because it's an abbreviate for Negro or Nigerian.

Brilliant.
* It didn't -- it originated as a racial slur

I hate that. I had a bangladeshi housemate who used to call people the P word to try and fit in, and it wound me up so much.
