I firmly believe he and Dom are good friends but that is probably about it. Chris was his meal ticket for the last few years of the show and nothing else.

Regarding Dom, the whole Folk Face thing, the Glastonbury trip, the fact that Dave spent a holiday in France at Dom's parent's house and the occasional tweets between them since the show ended strongly suggest to me that they are friends.

Regarding Chris - listening to the early shows as replays, makes me think that in addition to be Chris's sidekick, they were real friends. At the end? Probably not. Clearly something happened between them

Chris and Dave.. probably not, like I said before the way he was looking at Chris during the last show made that pretty clear, I don't like Dave now as much as I did when the show was on air.

Purely guessing I'd say the main cause of the falling out is Dave not being included on the second parody album. There are other side issues too but I think that's the main problem.

I really don't want to regard Dave as a bitter and twisted ingrate who, although he has no evidence to support it, thinks he is a cut above the others, but I think that IS what I think of him. I have to say I don't really know why, I'm sure its very unfair of me. He did loads of great things on the show and I'd much rather think of him in those terms.

I remember watching a video of Tina singing a song in the studio (Beautiful Day by U2 maybe?) and the look Dave gives her during the entire song took me aback.

Maybe there's something to it that he didn't really liked or respected anyone apart from Dom and Chris.

I think the replies Dave gave to certain trolls on twitter made it clear that the much rumoured reason that the pair fell out is more fact then fiction.

I think dave developed a massive ego problem & that caused a lot of the friction & CM probably noticed that as well as others. Perhaps dave his suffering schizephrenic delusions of grandeur

The parody album would be a huge deal because Dave has always written the parody songs with Chris. Not to mention Chris is Dave's primary source of income and he would lose a lot of cash by not being included with the album.

Well he was the whole reason for all of Dave's income apart from what he earned as Broadcast Assistant or whatever it was he did when they first met. As is evidenced by the announcement Dave made that he has taken a job for a major charity as, basically, a fundraiser. We employ them here, and the going rate, even for a "celebrity" fundraiser, is pretty paltry.

I never noticed anything like that during the goodbye show. Did anyone else? I'm totally prepared to accept that I was knackered and overwhelmed and just wasn't looking out for stuff like that.

I think Dave's lack of participation in the parody album was more a symptom than a cause of the fall out.

I'm sure there were several of Dave's parodies that Chris would have wanted to include.

If Dave ever gets a book deal (or if Chris writes 'The Even More Difficult and Rubbish Third Book') then we may finally find out the real reason for the fallout. I'm 50/50 on who was the wronged party, I really don't know what to believe.

To be fair I do think the bad looks are due to the singing, let's be honest Tina can't sing.
