I'm hoping he'll move on and start a new radio show before much longer - I've really had a sense of loss since September 14.
Definitely staying in radio would be the way forward for him.

Well, when he stops thinking he's a TV presenter and remembers what his actual potential is then he should get back on the radio soon. I want him back too as he's the best presenter in radio!

Here's an anomaly for you.

When the show ended, Chris' twitter account had around 2.6m followers. Since the show has ended, it's still steadily risen to surpass 3m users.

Now large Twitter accounts are guaranteed to attract a larger than normal percentage of fake followers - and Chris will have a huge number of inactive users (~30%) due to many people signing up because of the show and never going on again.

However he has 43% fake followers (a high percentage for an account with less than 10m users - to compare, @Grimmers has 9% fake). That's the kind of percentage which naturally occurs in accounts that have around 10-40m followers.

While I don't want to make any accusations of artificial inflation, it seems that Chris' steady gain of followers since the show bucks the trend of what SHOULD be happening.

Chris' twitter content hasn't been dynamic (in fact it's been quite dull), he's not been able to drive users to his profile using external media (TV, radio, print) - yet recently he's been making a concerted 'effort' to post something (anything) that seems relevant (his most recent instagram video is testament to this).

Compared to an account whose subject is getting every day exposure and very much in the public eye (Grimmy's) Chris' account seems to have had the same level of increase since last September (400k) . Here's how the follower increases have compared between the 2 over the last 6 months.

This is not what organic results should be showing, and is very odd indeed. To my mind, if there is artificial inflation, it is to keep his account relevant and to prevent a visible decline, which is positive as there may be a lust for future projects to go well - if the rise is organic, then I can't explain it!

To contrast with related show accounts, here is the trajectory which they have taken in the last 6 months.

Hey guys.
Not sure if I've posted here before, but I read this pretty much daily.
Yes my life is really that exciting.

Anyway, massive Moyles fan blah blah. I believe his absence from the public eye is deliberate.
The more he stays away, the more you what him back. 'The return of the saviour of radio' and all that...
Incidentally, Ben Cooper is having another one of his Radio Academy chats in July, so you can bet the Moyles question will crop up.

As a listener and fan I'm annoyed that, if press reports are true, he turned down the late night show.
From his remarks on air 'This is the last Chris Moyles Show in the morning...' that's an admission that was going to be moved.
A late night show would've been amazing and in time he could've taken it to 5 Live or Radio 2.
I don't understand these remarks about not fitting in, but again this could be reporter cack.

When the BBC teased their new Saturday night host who was Northern and had his own distinct style I thought can it be him?
I thought Chris was really on top form in the last Quiz Night series, relaxed, really funny. It took him a while to get there but I thought he was finally TV material. I keep waiting for the new ITV prime time show - after all he's with James Grant management for goodness sake! Maybe I have a long wait.

In terms of his idea, again reported in the press, to reach his millions of fans using an app. He needs a massive sponsor to cough up a lot of cash. It costs a lot of money. I know, as I've been running online radio stations for quite some time.
He idea that he was going to produce something for the beeb that was online only sounded exciting but nothing has materialised sadly.

Or, taking away reports and the speculation, he could simply be having 2013 off having worked his proverbials off since taking on breakfast. Although tweets saying he is writing would suggest otherwise.

Noone cared :P

I think it's more a case that there aren't very many people still here regularly to care! Some might say this place is almost as dead as Chris' current career... Very interesting observation though chrysostom, either it's an odd random occurrence or could 'dark forces' be at play here, I wonder?

This place wouldn't be dead if Chris got on with it and got back on the radio!
I need a Moyles fix!

That was a good picture of the two of them. Nice to know they still get together.

Not Chris but there was a change for an important part of the show at the end of last month (but I've only just seen it and can't see it posted already)

http://radiotoday.co.uk/2013/06/music-4 ... n-studios/

related to the show ending perhaps especially this bit...

Clients are now attending vocal sessions less and less (which were undertaken at Berners Street) so it simply doesn’t work for us to have a permanent base in Central London anymore.

A Sitcom by Chris could be alright. It would definitely be better than some of the drivel that's on TV at the moment.

It would be truly awful should it happen. The video Neil posted is a slight insight to how bad it would end up being.
