My wife and I are fans of The Inbetweeners. I had no idea they tried an American version. I can imagine that must have been awful.

One of the more recent US remakes of a UK show that's been successful is Being Human. After getting through the 1st season, which was mostly a remake of the UK version's first season, Being Human USA veered off in a completely different direction from Being Human UK and has turned out to be a pretty decent show. Not perfect, but generally good.

One of my favourites. I'm actually watching it at the moment, I'm on my 4th or 5th watch. I'm mid-way through Season 6, which is tough going as it jumped the shark after Season 5, when Sorkin quit.

I watched the first three series before I started missing it...so I am loving watching it again. As I didnt see it after Sorkin left I am a little nervous about getting that far. I think he is one of the only people who can write good quick dialogue between characters.

I had to come here and mention a site on facebook that is going on about the fact that Matt Smith has shaved his hair off for a film he's doing in the States. People on there are going ape s@*t over the this fact, bringing up theories that he is leaving Doctoe Who. Have they not heard of wigs?

Huge episode on Game of Thrones last night (It runs on Sunday nights for us here in the US). I knew this was coming having read the books, but it's still something to see it portrayed on the TV. Loving to see all the outraged reactions all over the internet today.

I was blown away by it. That's the one advantage of not having read the books, the shock factor. The silence during the credits was a brilliant touch, very apt.

This is a pretty good video compilation of people (who obviously know what's about to happen) recording the reactions of their friends watching the events in question. You never see the actual footage of what they're watching - just their reactions.

WARNING: Don't watch this if you plan on watching the actual episode. There is a reference to what actually happened. on screen.

Banshee is getting very good I think.

Very raunchy and violent but the back story has just come through, and the inevitable meeting with Mr Rabbit coming very soon.........Still naked Mormons taking cunnilingus , what's not to like! 8O

Gutted to find that the New Normal has been cancelled. I really liked it. Hoping another network might pick it up.

I was losing patience with Banshee by the end, only watched the whole season to see how it panned out.

But yeah, Lili Simmons....lawks.

I've seen a lot of adverts for it, and it's never appealed in any way, shape or form. Just looked like a lot of contrived, unfunny gay jokes.

This.

Reinforcing tired stereotypes that Will and Grace worked to death long ago.

I think whilst one of the main characters, David, did play up to some gay stereotypes (I work in theatre, I have a LOT of close gay friends - those stereotypes exist for a reason), the other one, Brian (the one played by Justin Bartha) was a deliberate contradiction of them and the contrast worked beautifully. I felt like most of the time the fact they were a gay couple was almost incidental - it was just a story about family, love and bringing a new baby into people's lives. So many of the issues dealt with, like surrogacy, baby naming, reconciling one's lifestyle with a traditional Catholic upbringing, losing a treasured pet - they could all apply equally to straight people.

Anyway, the fact that it's gone whilst 2 Broke Girls, which is racist, sexist and just generally terrible, continues to be renewed, is just horrific.

Does the fact that that is a sentence mean that you could not be 100% correct? Just checking as a catch phrase needs to be all inclusive.

What do points make?

I'll be 100% correct if someone disputes my fact. I need you to dispute it in order to use the catchphrase.

I'll be getting some T-shirts made if anyone is interested.

I never liked Scrubs. Now there's a show that did nothing but reinforce tired old stereotypes. And the fact that after making a huge thing of ending the show, the writers then accepted a ton of money to go back on their word and made another series...no integrity whatsoever.
