I watched the first episode of series 9 I think and after that I didn't watch anymore it was just a mockery to the show, Series 8 is the real ending to me.

But you have a Family Guy character as your avatar?

Oh yeah, I forgot about Family Guy, I love that too, But I still think Scrubs is funnier.

I've finally started watching Mad Men. 8 episodes down in the first season and I think I quite like it. I can't usually get in to period dramas.

Scrubs is the only funny live action show to come out of America. Once again 100% correct.

I'll be getting some T-shirts made if anyone is interested.

Only print them in ladies sizes, as we all know that is where the demand will be.

Whilst I agree that Scrubs is brilliant (one of my favourite TV shows), the general statement is wrong. Have you never seen Arrested Development? It's bloody fantastic.

I agree that it was a funny show, I'll have to disagree that it was the ONLY funny tv show to come out of the US. The Simpsons comes to mind. Seinfeld was pretty damn funny as well. And as much as I liked Scrubs, either of those two shows were funnier than Scrubs ever was.

I agree with both of those - but The Simpsons has the best cross continental appeal.

@SimpsonsQOTD is my favourite twitter account simply because each time it posts I'm reminded of a moment or episode that made me laugh out loud.

I also think South Park is excellent. Half way through Fringe at the moment, John Noble is so good it hurts.

I really liked South Park a lot back during the first few years it was on. Lately though, I find it just to be too crude and vulgar for my taste. And I generally have a pretty high tolerance for stuff like that so that's saying something.

Regarding Fringe - I loved that show. One of my favorites, and it's a real shame that it's no longer in production. Still, it had a longer life than a lot of other shows of it's genre so I can't complain too much.

South Park was so brilliant from series 1 to series 7, after that I don't think the makers of the show were even trying to make it funny after that.

South Park was the same jokes episode after episode. It was OK for a series at best.

I think it was great at first, then tailed off mid-period (seasons 5-10ish maybe) when it seemed like they'd run out of actual jokes and just resorted to being as gross as they possibly could. Then it picked right back up again and the last few seasons have been great. The one where they run out of internets is one of my favourites of all time.
