Nope. Nothing funny about his name or the company at all.

Really? Do you have a smartphone? Surely you're paying more than that for it?

No. You pay for the phone and they disguise the cost by splitting it monthly and calling it 'line rental'.

O2 have recently brought out the O2 refresh scheme where they no longer disguise the price of the phone and it certainly backs up my point that the majority of us are all spending £450+ on our phones.

Oh yeah, after I had my bag stolen with my then 6-week-old smartphone in it and stupidly had no insurance, I had to pay £400 for the replacement. Gutted.

My iPhone is contract so i got it for free but it is worth more than the Xbox one. Difference is I use my phone almost every 10 minutes and with the Xbox I use it purely for gaming. For the price Microsoft want me to pay it just wouldn't be worth the money for me. The other thing is after Sony's e3 presentation they are probably going to trounce the Xbox in terms of sales so I'm hoping Microsoft panic and reduce the price by next summer. If it goes down to £350 I'd consider buying one.

But I'm betting your contract is £30+ a month. I still value my console at more than a phone. Yeah I may use my phone more but what for? Twitter, Facebook and texting. I get so much more entertainment out of a console. For me I'm perfectly happy with the price of it for what I'm getting.

I'm surprised that £80 makes such a difference in the grand scheme of things, especially as a console should last 4-5 years.

Hardly like it's buying a house/car where the difference will make a significant impact to your finances.

Thursday is probably my final chance at a placement for next year. I got invited to go to an interview today on Thursday morning in Bristol. I had pretty much given up on the whole placement search and have kind of confined myself to just going and carrying on my 3rd year. If I'm honest I'm not going to get worked up either way now and whatever happens is fine. It is nice to have one more interview though as I doubt I'll get anymore after this now.

I agree with this. £429 for a new game's console, no thanks, I'll stick with my 360.

Naaaaaaaa.£349 is quite reasonable for a brand new console, I'll probably buy a pre owned one when it goes down in price.

Would £349 be too much for you too?

That all depends on whether it would be too much for Deadly or not.
