Mine were Nana (mum's mum) and Grandma (dad's mum). It never occured to me that Nana sounded like a goat...but my Nana had her kids quite old (she was 40 when she had my mum), so by the time she was a Nana she must have been around 60, so maybe she wasn't too concerned about it making her feel old.
