I thought they were more like nits.

Anyway...I'm really not enjoying this heat. I know I probably shouldn't complain but I just feel knackered and short-tempered all the time. Nothing is getting done in the new flat cos it's too exhausting to even lift a box. I've had enough.

We can't afford to buy a sofa until the end of the month. We're sitting on borrowed garden chairs. That should tell you everything you need to know about our ability to afford aircon.

I got mine on a very good deal back in '09. I paid less than £200, and it's a good one that actually works (many don't), putting out 15,000 BTUs. It has a sleep timer and a quiet sleep mode which is great for those hot nights. I did buy furniture for the house first, though.

Yeah, we're working on it. The bed frame arrives on Monday (we currently sleep on a mattress). Then sofa, then freezer. This is what happens when you fall in love with an unfurnished flat but earn terrible money. But it's our first home together - we'll get there eventually. When my parents first got married they lived in a flat above a cafe with the kitchen at the top of the stairs.

It's a big, freezy robot that cools my nads. I for one, welcome our nad-freezing overlords.

The Sky News approach to the Royal birth coverage. It's making me feel ill it's a mixture of crawling up the Royal family's arse and Kay Burley making up bollocks to pass the time.

Oh believe me I switched over long ago. I just had to see for myself how bad it was.

Ill tell you what's annoying me: what is Chris Moyles actually doing??
I mean I know he's probably looked after his money but he must need some kind of income to live the life he does.
I know he done the musical and I'm sure that paid well, and the farm food adverts which probably gave him some pocket money but going by what little info we know be doesn't seem to be doing anything.

His financial arrangements are * all to do with anyone but himself and the source(s) of any income he may be getting. Why would it be annoying you?

A year isn't exactly that long of a career break, especially when he has had such an intense, long stint working.

I don't think he particularly lives an extravagant life - probably owns his house, and his overheads can't be that high. I'd estimate around £70k for 12 months of living well - which I am sure that someone who has looked after their money can afford.

If he comes back before he's ready or with the wrong project, then it could significantly impact on the rest of his career.

Let the man rest, and hopefully come back better, harder, faster, stronger.

Even when you earn £650,000 you still have a mortgage. What's Chris' house -- £2m? I'd like to think he paid it off, but he has talked about paying the mortgage in the past. Take off 40% in tax, his agent's fee (10 to 15%), expenses for holidays and first class travel (he likes those) and there's not going to be enough to pay off the mortgage in full for a while.

The whole "ask your ISP nicely to let you look at porn" thing that Cameron announced today. Massively wrongheaded "won't someone please think of the children" nonsense. I'm too headachey to bang on about WHY it's stupid but, for one thing, it's horrendously unworkable and just panders to Daily Mail reading idiots.

Here's the problem, it's not going to work. The pedo scum will move elsewhere and my favourite (other) forum will be blocked everywhere I go (wi-fi) because they have a (pretty tame) naughty pics subsection.
