So it's a belated BBC version of Mythbusters then?

As much as I like Dom, & I do, if it came to the choice of watching him or the lovely Kari Byron then I know who's going to lose out.

Obviously, I'm plumping for the gorgeous redhead over the 'okay if you're into that sort of thing' slaphead.

Still it's nice to see Dom get a decent gig.

Don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere but on twitter Dave said, in reply to someone else, that he and Dom are going to be doing a weekly podcast soon.

That's great news. Can't wait!

Two thirds of my "they should do a unedited Gervais style podcast" wish looks like its coming true.
Shame Chris won't be invited along, for obvious reasons, because a podcast with the three of them could be gold.
Even throw in Aled as a Pilkington style comedy whipping boy and that particular podcast would be a work of genius.

But I suppose Dave & Dom will have to do!

Well, I dunno. It could be great, but I've been hungry for a burger for a year and I'm not sure just getting the bun and lettuce is really going to sate my appetite.

Through a fast-paced mix of presenter interaction, state-of-the-art CGI, studio-based scientific experiments, demonstrations and expert input, each episode will be jam-packed with surprising facts and conversation starters. Hosts Greg Foot (Physicist and adrenalin junkie), Fran Scott (biologist and practical experimenter) and Dominic Byrne (radio and TV broadcaster) will together debate, investigate and dissect a wide spectrum of topics including: “What is more deadly, a tornado or a hurricane?”, “where do accents come from?” and “what is the loudest living thing in the ocean?”

I bet Dom's angling to have one episode dedicated to finding the Loch Ness Monster! Sounds right up his street, good luck boss!

I know, I mean we just haven't had anything to talk about related to Chris or anyone else from the show.

Awesome analogy. I'll be using it more in everyday conversation.

I'd be very interested to hear a Dave and Dom podcast. I wonder if they'll be daft and funny like on the show or whether they'll try something completely different

Dave can't do anything different, remember his shows with Chappers? Gold, but piss poor.

I'm hoping that it's a comedy podcast which it probably will be, and that Dave and Dom just piss about, that will be great.

If it wasn't a comedy podcast I'd be extremely worried about its success. What other type of podcast could it be?

I'm hoping it will be a heavyweight political discussion between two of the country's great thinkers.

Or comedy. That would be good too.

It would depend on the premise of the show. If they try too hard to replicate the Chris Moyles show without Chris then it could be a struggle.

No.

People forget the "comedy" in comedy Dave is Ironic.

"Likable" Dave and "Likable" Dom doesn't really make for Pod cast gold, but hey I wait to be proven wrong.
