Agreed. I have a Galaxy S2 and to be honest, I love it. My contract's decent because I got an older model, but even that model is a revelation compared to my old Blackberry. The one massive advantage of the Blackberry was its keyboard as I * hate typing on a touchscreen, but I'm willing to forego that because it's the only feature of the BB that I preferred.
I do have an iPhone too, for work. I barely touch the thing, I don't think I have an Apple ID to get apps but that doesn't bother me. Its email functions and synchronisation to our system is fantastic, but I'd still prefer a Galaxy S2 for personal use. Granted, its email is pish but I don't need that for non-work stuff. Plus, the iPhone's bloody heavy.
The Galaxy's downside is how slippy it is. It's like a bar of soap, hence my screen is * after 2 heavy landings. I have a case on it normally but ironically it's too grippy to get in my jeans pocket so I sometimes take it out its cover. Never again though.
