There are a certain type of person who still does watch the show. I wouldn't like to say what that type of person is at risk of offending anyone here who is like that.

Yep. I imagine it beats the show "Girl with no legs or elbows but has 8 dicks" into second place in their ratings.

Say it anyway. It'll be worth it.

Anyone who is thick enough to watch that festering bilge deserves to be offended.

The kind of people I'm talking about can be seen in the town centre in leisure wear pushing about 6 kids in pushchairs whilst smoking.

There I said it.

Well said.

Those are the kind of people I would use my chosen Superpower on. My Superpower is the ability to be able to deliver a very painful electric shock to anyone within my visual range without them knowing where it came from.

I would use my Superpower only as a force for good.

There is a woman who lives near me who just let's her kids run around all day next to a dual carriage way. She appears every hour to see if the kids are still alive wearing a cow patterned onesie. I'm pretty sure I've never seen her wearing anything different and matters only get worse when her friends visit her with their army of kids. The kids are blameless in the situation, they don't know any better but they are also little shits who go round damaging stuff because they probably don't get enough attention from their parents.
Another of my favourite sites where I live is the women at my kids school who live quite near to the school and turn up to drop their kids off in their pyjamas.

Good the hear Dom is doing News again, I take it Dave hasn't done much since the show, which is a shame as I kind of like him even if it seems several have gone off of him on here.

I have been listening back to random shows over the last week, dear God how I miss this show, wish Chris & co were back together in some shape or form, whether that be on another station or via a podcast

No - this isn't a Dave or Dom comment, but I saw earlier today some tweets about Sara Cox getting her own show on R2. A Saturday night 80's show staring Oct. 5. Good for her getting a steady slot on R2. Going to have to give that a listen now and then I think. Given my age, the 80's were the most significant for me with respect to music.

Wasn't there a story about Moyles doing an 80s show for Radio 2?
Perhaps talks fell apart and Cox got the gig?
Or maybe Chris felt it beneath him?
I really hope he knows what he's doing...

I was thinking the same; it was rumoured that Chris would be doing an 80s show for Radio 2 after his breakfast show finished.

I don't think he does know what he's doing. I've said it before and I'll say it again; Chris Moyles is going to be the next Simon Dee.

Whether he planned on doing an 80's show or not, he would have had a lot of fun with that format. I've been listening to the batch of shows during the week of the 2005 Brit Awards, and R1 was highlighting 25 years of British pop/rock. Chris was clearly enjoying himself playing back all that stuff. Reminded me how much fun he had doing The Golden Hour. Which then raised the question - when did he bring TGH back to the morning show?

Pretty certain it came back during the 40th birthday thing they did and then stayed until the end, so according to Wikipedia 2007

Wasnt Dave & Dom going to do a podcast show? Any update or (As far as people on here know) has it fallen apart like the rest of the teams ideas for a post show comeback? I know it's soo close to a year since it ended and they done nearly 10 years on the breakfast show but surley they want back on the airwaves. If they don't then there public certainly does.

The Golden Hour was brought back for two weeks leading up to the 40th birthday at the end of September 2007, and I think it was a few weeks later that it became a permanent Friday feature.

Chris and Sara both feel slightly too young to be doing an 80s show, they would only be mid-teens when that decade ended...

If Chris is still only 24, he would have just been a little baby when the 1980s ended.

As I remember it Moyles first did the Golden Hour on the canal boat special, I think that was for a R1 anniversary of some kind.

Dave tweeted that he's going to be interviewed on the telly by a certain Tina Daheley during the Great North Run which he is running for charity.
