Yeah, that happened to me just the other day listening to a show from 2011 where Dave was lauding Stuart Hall for being such a legendary broadcaster. And listening to the Jimmy Savile tribute in the sound vault is very odd now.

Listened to the 2004-12-16 show (#215) this morning. Their "12 Days of Christmas" competition with the young woman who had a chance to win a trip to Australia to see her family was fantastic. Even though it happened 9 years ago I was still really into the whole thing. Segments like that really make me miss the show all the more.

I enjoyed it too. I'm just a couple of days after the trip now and looking forward to the Drew Barrymore interview they are currently anticipating. Also been enjoying the Big Brother chats. Had forgotten about so many of that years housemates, but it was the last year I watched that show, so still good nostalgia.

Did anyone keep the canal boat video? I found the photos, but the video seems to gone from the Beeb's servers.

Man, I can't wait for the Red Node Rally to be over. It was annoying enough when it was live!

Fun listening to them chucking brand and company names all over the place though, you don't hear that anymore.

Thanks for the links for the old photos.
Does anyone perchance have any photos of the Red Nose Rally? I'm listening to that week of shows now ( it isn't their best work IMHO but interesting none the less ) and any pics would be appreciated. They just gave away the Green Day Truck of Luck on my show this morning where Chris hung up on the winner Nicky from Barnsley since she was so hyper it was scaring him! Just wow! Thanks in advance!

I'll be finishing up the last Red Nose Rally show tomorrow. I found the shows pretty enjoyable for the most part. And the prizes that the listeners were winning in the "Truck of Luck" were, for the most part, really outstanding.

Quick question, does the archive update every single day or only Mon-Fri? I have got into the habit of listening to the show each morning at work and it would be a shame if I am missing 2/7 of the shows since I don't work at the weekend!

Yeah, The RSS feed for the replay only updates on weekdays.

I just download chunks of them when I can be arsed, and then stick about 20+ shows at a time on my mp3 player. Keeps me occupied for a while before I have to put any more on.

I just started Feb 2006. I load up about 2 months of shows on my Generic Fruit-Based MP3 players at a time. TCMS has replaced most of my other podcast listening.
