#HashtagUnrelated

I just used it as an example of a hashtag.

Cos I was bored.

There was no great malevolent scheme to embarrass you. Although I'm happy go give it a go - I don't think I'd be willing to top Badger's last effort :D

Meh, everyone's seen that... I just feel sorry for those unfortunate enough to click it.

Also slightly worried about the word 'willing' being where I would have expected 'able'.

just got back from court - had to go for a 'witness familiarisation' session, so that I know what to expect when the time comes...

Smaller than I was imagining. Very cute young lady showing us round though, so that was nice!

Finished it all off though with a Bacon n Sausage cob on the way back. Nom.

You could always go to work during the day.

While we're on overly sympathetic responses:

Why don't you just buy a Detached House, Andy?!!! Duh!

All went a bit 'Bradford and Bingley' last night - has been doing the rounds with local parents/kids. Thought I'd got away with it.

Oh well; on the plus side, I'm only doing what is essential to be done at work today then I'm going back bed. Oh yeah.

Had my last shift at the site I'd managing this evening. It is a really old style office block used by Macmillan publishers. I shall miss it greatly.

Very hot curry, followed by very hot bath, then wrap yourself up tight in duvet and get an early night (10hrs+ in bed) and sweat it out... Drinking lots o water helps too.

Lemsip with a bit of fresh ginger, honey and half a shot of whisky. And take vitamin C. My colds seem to go much quicker when I'm taking a ton of vitamin C.

On another note: some of you will have seen this tweet, but naming no names: someone tweeted me last night complaining about something my place of work has done to them. My twitter account is personal, I don't mention where I work in my bio and I try not to name it in tweets if I can help it (obviously the type of work I do is evident), this person just knows I work there. Is it fair that I'm pissed off about it? If they call my office between 9.30am and 5.30pm on a weekday I'll do my best to help them, I'll apologise for something that isn't my fault and most importantly, I'll pretend to care. Outside of that time, I'm not being paid to pretend and it was all I could do to not tell them that much. I managed a reasonably polite response, but I'm still irked about it.

Best option is just to ignore them. By retaliating you leave yourself open to criticism by management and could get yourself in trouble. Report the incident to the necessary department and forget about it.
I've had a similar type of thing about a year ago on Twitter. I'm a bit of a local celebrity due to my wrestling and the press coverage it receives and a lot of the people who come to the shows know my twitter handle and have contacted me in the past either offering advice or saying they enjoyed the show etc. One day I got a private message from a lady asking me what I was going to do about making her daughter cry at one of the events. I had to explain wrestling to her step by step and how it was my job to play a bad character who was nasty to people. It then got in to the fact she thought wrestling was a completely legitimate sport and had no idea there was a certain amount of acting involved in it. It's worrying because if I acted like my wrestling character in real life I'd be sectioned but she honestly believed that was who I was.

Nic, I'd have just sent a very polite reply stating they need to approach this through the standard channels...

Sending a tweet to an account completely unlinked (on official level) to the business, is not proper procedure.

Perhaps a little cheeky, but I'm not sure I would have been overly annoyed by it... I think that person probably just thought as a friend you may be able to do them a favour - if you don't ask, you don't get - the worst that could happen is that you could give the response you did.

I saw the tweet and I'm not particularly sure they were actually expecting you to do anything about it. I think it was just a passing comment and I personally wouldn't be annoyed by it.
