Great post from Nicola. I agree with virtually all of what you said. I do think his passion for radio was 100% real for a good deal of the show though. Growing up he was more of a radio geek than any of us, and listening to early Moyles shows I think that is clear. What is equally apparent is that he couldn't be arsed with it towards the end. I noticed it in 2011, but maybe it was even earlier than that, but so gradual I hadn't properly noticed.
I'll continue listening to the old shows for as long as Chris sounds like he is enjoying it and it isn't a chore to him to do. At November 2005 his enthusiasm isn't was it was in 2004, but he still wanted to do the job then and for as long as that continues I'll keep listening.
