With the way the internet works, even local radio can be on here in the show vault. Oh. and while I'm being rude (ish) and gready... Can you tweet Dave and Dom and ask them about there podcast idea? I'm sure they were jokeing (Spelling & grammer abuse is expected :) )but I'm happy to hear them.

He answered a similar tweet a couple of days ago asking why people don't get that he won't return to radio. He seemed a bit pissed off about that question IMO. Couldn't find the tweet just now, he probably deleted it.

And if you look at his tweets, almost every time he tweets something there is someone replying with "when are you back on the radio? We miss you".

He won't be back. Not with Dave or Dom or Aled or even Tina, nor as it seems he himself will ever be back on the radio. I think it's time to accept that and move on from wanting him back.

Chris is on Jamie Oliver's show on Channel 4 right now. It's a bit cringey for me if I'm honest. If this is what he wants to do with the rest of his career good luck to him but it would appear the opinionated, hilarious and controversial DJing legend Chris Moyles is dead. Very sad.

Does he actually have enough money to live the lavish - ish lifestyle he would like to lead for the next 20 years. I genuinely question what he's currently doing to earn money. There's nothing that seem obvious. He obviously got a fair amount off Jesus Christ Superstar but what next?

From broadcasting to 8 million people a day to making pizzas on Southend pier with Jamie Oliver to a room full of the most obvious paid extras I've ever seen. It's deeply sad.
He'll lower himself to reality TV eventually. He is outspoken and well known enough to do any of the big shows but if that happens then you'll know how desperate he has become.

I turned it off. This is so far from the peak Moyles who was so good on the radio years ago. He just isn't the same person any more. And what has happened to his voice? The cigarettes have taken their toll but he has modulated his voice so much he is nearly unrecognisable from his earlier days.

In 2 years time is he though? Yeah he may have presented the Breakfast show for 8 years but in 2years time he won't have done anything noticeable for 4 years. He'll be more and more z list as the years go by...

If you compare him to some of the people who appear on reality shows then I think he has several years before he becomes a complete non entity.

I would assume she's insinuating that she wants to say something about Chris but is stopping herself. She is such a pointless human being.

Yeah, I feel the same. I gave up on listening to downloaded shows at the beginning of this year so I feel like I'm slowly letting my attachment to the show ease off, if you see what I mean. I still listen to clips occasionally and still have so many good memories, but yeah, it's pretty clear it's over. It kinda sucks.

That's odd as I thought I saw her in the audience of the Jimmy & Jamie thing....could be wrong, but thought it was an odd coincidence.

EDIT - actually scrap that, just watched it again (gluten for punishment) and it isn't.

It's interesting though - if he had thrown himself into a radio show on a commercial station (presumably only with Dom following him, as Aled's experience would command a senior role & significant wage at any other radio station) - would it have been any good?

With just 2 of the gang, I think we all know that offering would be stunted, limited and probably would have been cancelled by now.

Similarly if he went on and did a TV show - it would have been awful so soon after leaving a show with such a pronounced style. It would always be trying to replicate the breakfast show, which he's unlikely to ever be able to do in a non prime-time slot on a wide reaching radio station.

Is this better than seeing him be absolutely awful & embarrass himself?

You know, I don't know. I am reminded of the two days Chris covered for Greg James, and hearing him as a lone voice was an interesting, but positive, experience. I think if we assume that the chance of the team reuniting on another show/station was zero, then that's what I would want - him to do another show on his own. Obviously there's no way to know how that would go in the long term, or whether the constraints of the station (whatever it might be) would make it different enough that it would just cease to be the Moyles we knew and loved - but I think I'd wanna find out.

I've got to say that I understand his hesitance to damage his stock with another 'Love Machine' or have another quiz show bomb.

His natural absence is likely doing less damage to his reputation than failing at something else. All the same, I think he doesn't want to be 'jolly, ranty DJ' anymore - which is what he's best at, but also might not be who he wants to be. He'd constantly said on air that he's shy off the air & after 10+ years, maybe he's a little bored of his own shtick.

Personally, I hope he comes back as an X factor judge to replace Louis, and uses that as a platform to gauge public opinion on him - which could lead to him choosing a firm direction in where his career should go.

Yeah he tweeted Travis from this forum in fact saying that fans should know to not ask him whether or not he is getting back on the radio due to him saying this once before, which to be honest is fair enough really. He definitely seemed ticked off. I've just had a scroll through his timeline and the tweet is nowhere to be seen.

as previously stated, pretty much every tweet gets a response from someone saying "come back to Radio 1'. but I think most people are over the ending of the show now. even that sack grimshaw group has peetered out!
