I am led to believe today is the day there will be a formal announcement however I am told reports that Chris will front a new breakfast show on XFM are wide of the mark. He will instead take on the role of output director across all of the Global radio stations. Chris sees this as a natural progression in his career after a long career behind the mic. Obviously he previously stated he feels he has done his stint in radio and feels this role puts his undoubted talents to good use. From a personal point of view I hope this isn't true as I'd love to hear him back on the airways but my source is usually pretty reliable. Don't shoot the messenger x

Interesting development. He is more than a bit in a damned of you do, damned if you don't situation. IMHO ANY new show would be forever judged and compared to the Radio 1 days and I doubt he would be happy with that. Still, I'd happily listen to whatever he and whomever would come along with him put out there.

So do we still think there is a chance? If we was going to become some kind of output director then I wouldn't have thought that that would warrant some big announcement, because it wouldn't be a major event for us listeners.

If that is what is going to happen though, then maybe he could at least have the influence to create a new radio show which maybe someone else could front, which could be of a similar style? I don't know if Johnny Vaughan etc do the same style of show though.

And what's your point? Are people not allowed to try something different? What was his experience of being an awesome radio presenter before Topshop Radio? His talent was responsible for one of the most successful shows of all time, why can he not use that to advise on other shows.

I disagree that it is antithetical. Maybe it's you and me that are antithetical, you could just say opposite rather than trying to be some sort of smart arse.

Out of curiosity, I googled "chris moyles radiox" and THIS came up. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_X Note the first line. There's no link to any info about it, but wonder why or how it's on wikipedia already. Yes, anyone can add anything on there. But still, quite odd.
