The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Think he just needs time to bed in. It feels he is partly on the show as he knows the commercial radio/global ropes as it were. I guess it will depend on how quickly he will gel with the team and gain confidence with Chris' style. I think Chris has given him a similar challenge to the one Tina was given when she joined the team in that he might have to sing in front of a live audience. Assuming Kelly will actually play a smiths cover.

Also anyone disappointed that Chris didn't play up the Richard Park stuff when Keilty was there today? I wonder if it was a no go area? Is Richard Park also in LA at the moment as well then?

He definitely comes across as an outsider at the moment. Part of that will be because the others have worked together before, but I do wonder if he'll be moved on. He doesn't like his nickname, he isn't embracing it or the show's style, it seems.

To be honest, from what I've heard so far, he's no great loss. Finding another Aled is almost impossible, but they need someone that's more willing to go along with things.

There won't be a golden hour, doesn't mean there won't be a very similar feature with a similar name?

Never watched a whole episode of celebrity juice before... Really struggling to watch this one...

Wouldn't Producer Dave be just as good and not cause confusion with any previous Dave?

I can't watch anything with the unfunny arse Keith Lemon in.

There is a word for what Nick Grimshaw is and I think it's something like "talentless".

I'd like him to be known as 'new dave' forever more, just like the brand new cheesy song was always brand new. But then that would be alluding to an old Dave which doesn't seem to be a hot topic of conversation.

I don't like 'madam' because it stinks of desperation with no actual thought process other than wanting to distinguish between the two Daves. Forced nicknames never stick.

Ah now well see in order to understand why the Mirror is so shit you will need to understand it's editor, Kevin Maguire. A complete and utter turd, if ever I saw one. Paddy Keilty, I always remember Moyles being on his telly show many moons ago and slating the Mirror as a 'crappy paper'. About sums them up. It is the most unworldly paper ever.

Lefties don't really like Moyles, don't forget. If the comment sections of The Guardian are anything to go by.

I think that's why I could never be a leftie, they have such shit taste. (by and large) And now Channel 4 might be being sold off, which I will personally cheer if it happens. Quiz Night should've been the beginning of Moyles's foray into telly, just watch that TV ad for Radio X and tell me he doesn't look good away from the glamour of the TV studio!

But thats the way things are, I do hope we see the day when the tabloids are gone. For the good of humankind.

The Mirror - Making The Sun seem bearable!

Meanwhile...Grimmy is a flop on X Factor - SURELY NOT?!?!

I know what X I prefer...

On the afternoon show, Chris upset The Mirror with some comments about The 3AM girls at that time, I do think they slagged him off after that for a while but it can't be going back to that now

The Guardian is really not going to hit Chris' target audience, I bet they are still using pics from the start of the R1 breakfast show.

I refuse to read The Sun (Hillsborough) and I felt really bad reading the interview

No mcfly day or golden hour had a feeling there would be no mcfly day as not suitable for radio x. I wonder what will be instead
#506716
Screw the playlist, I want McFly Day!

He's just announced The Platinum Hour, original name! Just Radio X playlist stuff though which is a shame, I was hoping for a mix of stuff so he could play Reach by S Club 7 in an ironic way

I've been waiting for every caller they've had on this week to say "where's Comedy Dave?"

I don't think Grimshaw will be doing R1 this time next year. And not because of Moyles. He's been doing it 3 years which in Radio 1 breakfast terms (a part from Moyles) is a decent amount of time.
