The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I do feel like Keith is overplayed now. With his previous characters he seemed to know when to quit, but Keith Lemon has just gone on forever and they keep offering him work (eg Through the Keyhole, which is dismal). But something about Juice just really tickled me in its earlier days, I dunno if it was him or more an overall concept thing. I did like Rufus Hound and think it suffered for his leaving.

At least Ali G was funny in the first place. It's like he picked the worst character he had and people fell over at his feet to offer him TV shows.

Yeah true, tbh I used to like Bo Selectas Michael Jackson but it had run out of steam come Bo In The USA.

Ali G's original interviews were good, Tony Benn was still the only person who cottoned onto what Ali G was all about and was great on it.

Enjoying the show so far, but I do miss Dave, and feel the show isn't quite the same without him - but that's probably as we're so used to hearing his input. Given time, no doubt we'll adjust to the new style.

However, I can't help but think (probably blind optimism) that the lack of mention of Comedy Dave MAY be because they're still hoping he can be persuaded to come back? I dunno. I so hope that's the case.

I'm not really missing Dave that much to be honest. Show isn't perfect at the moment and All New Dave seems a bit quiet at the moment but hopefully things will improve. Certainly enjoying Chris and Dom (and Pippa) being back on the air though.

I don't really want it to be a copycat of the old show to be honest… would rather they didn't bring back Rob DJ or Roy Walker. Might be just me though, never did like most of the features that went on a bit too long.

The brilliance of the show is that you can have a half hour link which to some is ages, but to me just flies by. It's only noticeable when a feature has gone on for too long, such as the first time they tried to invade the Smooth studio last week.

I am enjoying the music more than I expected to. Liking the majority of it, but I couldn't listen to it all day. Never have liked the pretentious feel of Absolute and XFM who feel they are playing "real" music as opposed to the "fake" music that actually makes the top 40.

Yeah, that's my thoughts too.
We have no idea whether the rift between them has healed privately over the last few years, or if it was indeed as bad a people made out.
And it wouldn't be beyond Chris & Dave to deliberately play it low key for the purposes of him suddenly appearing one morning.
Imagine how great that would be! :D

Let's hope so.
Not just for the show (although I think the show so far has been great), but for them too.
If they're still not talking, it'll be a real shame, because they were really good mates.
They're bound to miss talking to each other.

I have two male friends who fell out over a woman. One felt guilty and made a couple of outreaches to try to repair the friendship, the other wouldn't have a bar of it. That was about 3 years ago, they never speak anymore, and I don't think they ever will again. If Chris and Dave are anything like them, I wouldn't hold your breath for a reconciliation.

Oh yeah, the assumption that it was about Jayne rather than the tax thing or anything else. Whatever it was though, I kind of sense it's a rift of similar magnitude. Obviously I have no evidence other than gut feeling based on what we know.

Ha that's good, I thought they would have been more resistant to an invasion, I will have to watch that later.

I do wish Radio X would put their videos on a YouTube channel too, it's much easier to favourite a video and come back to it on YouTube than it is to save it on Facebook, it's not always obvious where your saved videos are.

If you click/tap on the arrow in the top right corner of a post, there is a 'Save' button. You can find saved items by clicking on 'Saved' in the sidebar on the left, or on mobile (at least on iPhone) you have to tap on 'More' in the bottom right of the app and tap on 'Saved' through there.

Ha, I knew the link, but I bloody missed that sidebar option, ta! What a moron (me).

In any case:

...it looks like they actually do:

Not at all, Facebook seem to be very good at hiding features that people might actually find useful!

Just listened back on the edited show because I missed this today.

This was recorded, right? The way Chris says "That worked beautifully (as if it was pre-recorded earlier)" and how quickly Chris managed to get back to the studio (and not out of breath) makes me think so. Perhaps an admission that the feature didn't work as well as planned.
