Well Chris has room to celebrate. And Nick grimshaw seems too still have a job and radio 1 seems to want too ignore the figures.

It's a bit over exaggerated that heart has more listeners than radio 1. As they seem to have taken all 3 heart channels in to account.

I believe somewhere around October 2018. Radio 1 will have a brand new record holder in the longest person to be on a breakfast show.
Tina joined the show In February 2011 after Carrie left the show. Being on the show has now taken her into year 8 this past February. With the record of 8 years and 9 months will be passed in November this year.

Of course the position of Tina on the R1 Breakfast show may well now be in doubt if Greg brings in a new team. She seems to be doing very well for herself however so I'm sure she'll find lots of work if there was to be a change.

Tina is only on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show about 2 or 3 days a week now. She has been on TV a lot more recently and is also on woman's hour on Radio 4. Tina presented the BBC News at Six for the first time the other day. She could be leaving Radio 1 soon.

I imagine Greg will want to bring Chris Smith over with him to breakfast as they have a bit of a double act going on, similar to Chris and Dom or Scott Mills and Chappers way back when
