Former Steps stars H And Claire have signed a £4 million deal with WEA.

The pair had been in talks with numerous labels, including Steps' old home Jive, since quitting the band last Christmas. But the pair, who for the first time came face-to-face with their ex-bandmates Faye, Lee and Lisa at a film premiere last weekend, decided to sign with WEA, which also looks after the likes of Cher, Brandy and David Gray.

Their first single, DJ, is due for release on May 6th, while their debut album will follow later in the year.

H And Claire also revealed that they're planning to front their own TV entertainment show, which will be along the same lines as the Sonny And Cher show and is to be screened sometime this year.
