Well its seems that some people don't even know what anime is eg Sidla. But enough said anime is not for geeks nor is star trek. But i would agree with the trains but i don't know half of these either my girlfriend does though. I only know yugioh, cardcaptors and pokemon

Japanese
English
American

There are some great Animé films out there - Akira, Domion Tank POlice (Acts 1 - 4), and some others I can't remember.
