Hmm, after watching the program... Did they do it?

Even before it came up at the end that someone is planning to make a film out of it.

Oh, and product placement of the year goes to.... The Benolyn Marketing Department - first advert in the program showing a doctor's waiting room full of coughing. Genius.

phpbb bug. do not edit the main post of a poll thread. someone has to edit the db manually to get rid of those extra options

Um, weird. I put the poll in, 'cos two people voted. Then it disappeared and I tried to put them in again and now its come up with two of each option. Oh well, add the two together and you get the picture...

Guilty,However the program was obviously trying to make him look as guilty as possible,they could easily of added a few coughs here and there.Maybe they should of stuck to the pager idea...

It's amusing how they critisise him for being motivated 'by greed and money'... Errm,What else is the show about if its not a showcase of greed?

it was a bit disappointing they only gave one side i would like to have heard the defence but i dont see how they could claim innocence.

Yeah, if the BBC had shown it (not that they would have been allowed to) it may have been a bit more neutral.

I saw the news afterwards as well and Tecwen Whittock said that any coughs that coincided with the right asnwer were purely coincidental and that at least half of his coughs could not have been interpreted as anything...

Personally I think Tecwen Whittock's parents should go down... after calling their child Tecwen, they clearly enjoy a bit of child abuse every now and again.

I agree actually. If ITV hadn't noticed, that would have been down to their stupidity.

Still, they are going to have stringent checks and processes in place to make sure that doesn't happen, they were obviously not careful enough.

But then again with him only getting a suspended sentence, he'll make more than the million anyway through selling his story, a book, a film etc etc...

Yeah, but rather that then him being banged up at my expense. He isn't exactly going to go and shoot anyone or rob anyone else is he?

He just didn't have the right look to him, coughs or not. There's no way you can be so thick and still keep getting the right answer (and gambling so much money).

Watching the news this morning, it has their defence. They dismiss it as "spin" and he claims he never heard the coughs. But listening to the evidence, woow, you couldn't miss it

its like they "amplified the sound" to make you hear it better, What are the chances of them recording the coughs themselves. Surely a taped programme replayed again cant have that good of acoustics.
