The remains of a pair of human feet have been discovered on the RIVER SEVERN - close to where MANIC STREET PREACHERS guitarist RICHEY EDWARDS went missing seven years ago.
Gwent police are searching through their records of all missing persons after the body parts in size eight Diadora trainers were discovered by two fishermen at Sudbrook, Monmouth yesterday (March 25).

The families of all missing persons, including Edwards, are being contacted. Edwards disappeared seven years ago, and his car was found abandoned nearby.

A Gwent Police spokesperson told NME.COM: "The investigation will continue today. We're checking with the families of all missing persons. That includes Richey Edwards. If we don't get any results locally we'll extend the appeal to other forces."

He continued: "The fact that the other foot was nearby suggests that the person had entered the water not too far away."

A spokesperson for the Manic Street Preachers is currently unavailable for comment.
