Assuming you're in the UK you will notice that with the upgrade this morning your post times may be one hour out.

To correct this if it worries you, change your timezone in your control panel to GMT+1 and it will alter the times you see.

Or ... just leave it

The time does help, so you know not to read posts that you have read already, so it does help. Only if you choose to use it like some people. Better to have it than for it to not be there full stop.
