Am I the only one who thinks the Radio 1 playlist is how shall I put this, ABSOLUTE PANTS!??!?!

I am constantly hearing god awful songs over and over again.

Lets face it, how many of us are slightly peeved by Ja Rule's 'Always on time'?

this is just my personal opinion which I want to share. However, I would be interested to hear what everyone else has to say about the playlist.

that is true. The playlist on my local radio station has more variety.

It was the same last year. They always played that 'Ms. Jackson' by Outkast. If they had variety, it would be OK, and they always put songs on their A-List that dropped out of the top ten weeks ago.

I listen to my own music mix. i pride myself on playing on hozzy radio never the same song week on week. there are some shows which play the same songs wweek in week out

that's how my radio station is like too. they go mental if you play the same artist two weeks in a row, let alone the same song.

The sad thing is that R1 still poos all over Crapital from a great height. There's always 6music I suppose....

I've not been listening to Radio 1 for a few weeks now, but yes, I agree the playlist is crap, why not just call it R&BFM?

I'm converted to XFM at the moment... The playlist is maybe only slightly larger than R1, but at least it's playing quality music.

They're not limited to current stuff either. On Friday I heard such gems as "Rocket from the Crypt - On a Rope" and "The Las - There she goes", to name only two.

Come on Radio 1 - SORT IT OUT!!

i like that Ja Rule song, but i do agree that there should be more variety. I have complained about the radio1 playlist in the past, but on reflection, they do play somthing for everyone.

I agree, 6music is the best. They still have a playlist so you do hear current songs BUT they also play a lot other music that isn't playlisted.
