well before they are talking about taking you to the pub, and the fact the legal age for drinking in America is 21 (I think it is anyway:)) I think they probably wouldn't take anyone younger than that!

right, well speaking as an american under 21, and having a fair idea of what the team will be doing, the trip would be a bummer if you were under 21. like will said, america is exteremely picky/repressed. especially california. i think we're one of the few states in the union to ban smoking completely in public building. (heck, you'll get a ticket if you smoke outside of a building on campus, and are less than 15 feet away.)
