yes im devestated. fortunetly we beat rochdale on the same night in a team with a half decent midfield. im not worried we are saving ourselves for beating arsenal on the first day of the season.

arent they [pre season friendlies] great for the big sides? you can play crappy foreign teams (austrian in evertons case) an win by f*ckin loads with your rubbish players looking like world beaters.

there must be some teams somewhere who get beat in pre-season friendlies all the time but you never seem to see it.

Okay, Crewe are not Austrian and Magenta will shout if I say they're crappy, but it seems Everton would be a 'team somewhere' that gets beat in a pre-season friendly?

hey i'll take any win. its a shame for rooney if he doesnt score a hat-trick every week hes failing. the fact is towards the end of last season he was a tired young player living off newspaper hype cos there was no transfer gossip. hes still a genius though.
