I bought this, yes, shocker, I bought a pop album. I bought along with Waterboys greatest hits so lets say it was an eclectic taste. I bought it just out of sheer curiosity. It was number 1 and had been getting rave reviews and i like Crazy In Love tho not many people dont like that song (probably nablo dont like it but his opinion dont matter).
Im guessing before i put on the cd, 16 tracks ahh that means 8 slushy ballads and 8 faster pacier ones. Unfortunately its 13 slushy + secret slushy ballad against 3 quick booty ones.
I despise Sean Paul but even Ill admit hes bearable on the track Baby Boy. I dont know Big Boi but I know he was with Outkast on a couple of their tracks but his track on this is the highlight of a very dull album. I thought Alicia Keys album was full of filler, this ones worse. She manages to stick 2 songs you know at the end to try and wake u up from that sleep induced coma shes put you in. It seems that she cant hack it without getting a host of people guesting. I like Missy Elliott and I was waiting for track 8 to come round. Elliott hardly appears on the track and the chorus is just her naming the star signs.
I am normally an indie kid but i like a good bit of soul, r n b, you know, you cant beat a bit of Marvin Gaye, apart from his father who beat him to death but anyways. Avoid this album, plus the pictures arent that good, in some it looks like she was using the services of leslie ash's ex friend.
