Which is better, the regular daytime schedule or the summer holiday version?

I prefer regular, 'cos then I get to hear Mills when I get up and don't normally get to listen to much of Breakfast anyway.

It's got to be the normal daytime schedule just for Mark & Lard being on it.

For purely selfish reasons, Mark and Lard should be on instead of Pearce at six, then I could listen to them too.

How about we have Colin and Edith do the breakfast show, put Dave Pearce in Jo Whiley's slot (bad choice of words, sorry) as she's rarely around to do her show anyway, have Scott Mills do the early afternoon show, keep Moyles where he is and put Mark and Lard on after 6 then.

I'm not really caring for Mark and Lard, I just find it samey. Colin and Edith would be nice for brekkie, then somebody like Dave Pearce waking me up with some dance mid morning, Scott Mills and then Moyles.

i listened to the radio1 breakfast show all the way to work today and it didnt annoy me once. once colin an edith are less eager they will be even better.

I have a feeling that it can't be too long now before they get moved to Radio 2. Mark Radcliffe does seem to be doing a few more programmes for them now (though just one-off specialist programmes so far).

When the radio comes on in the morning and she starts talking I'm forced to get up in order to turn the radio off. So, she does serve one purpose at least.

Here would be my ideal daytime schedule for Radio 1 :

7-10am: Colin and Edith
10am-1pm: Nemone
1-3pm: Scott Mills
3-5.45pm: Chris Moyles
5.45-6pm: Newsbeat
6-8pm: Mark and Lard

I personally wouldn't bother with Scott Mills what so ever, he's like a poor mans Chris Moyles.

You'd have to admit that the 4-5.45 Moyles show was more consistently funny. I preferred the old schedule. Mark and Lard have got it cushty still only having 2 hours. Less pap, more quality comedy.
