Microsoft slashes Xbox price

Microsoft is cutting the price of its Xbox games console just five weeks after its UK launch. The computer giant says its decision to drop the price from £299 to £199 is to compete with its two rivals, Sony's PS2 and the Nintendo GameCube. The decision is not due to poor sales since the March 14 launch, Microsoft says. Customers who have paid an extra £100 for their machines will be offered a free controller and two games worth a total of £115, according to a company spokeswoman.

X-Box games look very poor! The programing for them is very hard, so thats why lots of the games look very poor. So you are better of with other consoles.

If you like your kiddy type games then buy a gamecube.

The Game cube is coming out soon. The controllers look shite and ugly, but the actual console is tiny, it uses 8cm discs whereas the Xbox is the size of an old VCR.

The Gamecube is exactly the same size as 10 CD cases stacked together.

like i said, tiny. mind you games consoles started off big, then they got smaller i.e. sega mega drive, then they got bigger with the N64 so standards have changed.

I agree with David - I also have a PS2 & it's great... the games are great, there's no change in controller from PS1-PS2 so it still handles well and then there's the 2 added bonuses of having a DVD player and you can still play your old PS1 games on the PS2 ! ! !

I REST MY CASE ! ! !
