You been defending Nintendo and now your not. Nintendo have made to many consoles where as the others have made enough for the demand. So PS2 and XBox have been make quality where as Nintendo have been making the quantity.

Would you rather have more games with a low quality or vice versa?

Unfortunately, only a few of the good games sell more (GTA: Vice City, Eye Toy, Pokémon, Zelda, Halo)

Can I just ask - what PS2 games were actually made at Sony? I don't mean at any of their development houses like Naughty Dog, Team Soho et al, I mean their own in-house team.

By the way, what do you think would happen if there were just one console available? I think that gaming would die out because the companies would realise there is no competition in formats and become lazy developers creating awful games but pricing the games (and indeed, the console) at as high a price as they want. That's why competition keeps the industry alive.

antster1983, I mostly agree apart from the awful games bit. Instead of competing consoles there would be competing games developers trying to better each others games. It would maybe even lead to higher quality games being created due to this competition. But the prospect of having all games companies working for one console is interesting

does anyone buy a computer game - play it for hours/days on end and then get bored of it? for example i purchased the matrix - quality game played it for hour on end and happened to get to the end level - however not being able to complete it. its where they are in a sub and the sents are after them. it was impossible for me to do. i took it back to game within the 10 day return.

at 50.00 squid a game, some maybe less i thinks really expensive. ive got a ps2 and sent a bit on dvd's but either watch half of the film and then get bored. have films that ive seen, thought ill watch again and then thought to myself - i cant be bothered.

i got me mam to get me one for christmas and i got the new james bond game. dont know the name of it. got bored of that as well. might as well get a game like champ man thats slightly interesting.

Well yes, obviously. When you get used to something that doesn't vary you get bored. Actually I've found with many games, after finishing / getting stuck at some point and getting bored, a few months later I can get right back into it. This is one of the reasons I prefer pcs because with broadband, you can get download endless mods for the games, some which almost completely re-write the game. Adds much to the life-span of games.
If it wasn't for mods, Counter Strike wouldn't have happened.

Mafro, Nablo owns a GC, so he knows what he's talking about, so shut up anyway, Ninty produces the best games on the whole, buit they have made and are making lots of seriously bad business decisions and are thus considered to be poor, which they're not, also they're apparently going to announce and show off the next console in spring, so we'll see if they can rectify their current situation in the near future...

I used to like football but gradually lost interest. Every year it is just a two horse race for the title. I'd rather play computer games than watch a bunch of rediculoisly overpayed fools chasing a ball for a hour and a half, but then again, thats just my opinion. By the way, I'm clean shaven
