I'll miss him. He's a bit sarky, and supports scummy Spurs, but with wickedee waar waar will and his mystery years he's ok by me. Also why didn't Mark and Lard get extra time. I can't stand Jo Whiley, now she's on even earlier. Sorry Radio 1, between 10am-1pm I'll be listening to either kiss or Xfm.

I would prefer him not to leave.  I never really hear him but when I do he is good, well better than Coxy and Jo.  I DONT want Moyles starting a 3 because I am going to miss 30 minutes of the show every day.  It also means I won't be able to hear any of Mark and Lard.<P>Radio ONes new line up sucks.<P>Davod

I am crying as I write this much to the amusement and pointing fingers of my friends... but I am so going to miss Mayo!!<br>He is -sorry was, actually the best DJ on radio 1,I think. Moyles is hillariously funny but Mayo was a better DJ music wise...him and wicked Will....(having a moment!) The mystery years were I was always just one year out...<br>He was brilliant and Wiley getting an extra hour(what is wiv her taste in music??) is definately no consolation!<br>It'll all go down hill from here people!!

Simon Mayo was a fantastic DJ, much better than Jo Whiley.How can Radio 1 give her an extra hour and not give any more time to Mark and Lard? She has no talent, her taste in music is crap and her show has no features.Also isnt she gonna have another kid soon?What a good idea by radio 1 to give her a show that she'll be leaving in a few months.<br>BRING BACK MAYO!!!

I listened to his last show, and to be honest, it was one of the best I have heard in a long time.<P>He will be missed I am sure.<P>I`m only saying this cos I was pretty good at King Of The Movies  :)

I heard bits of the show. Trying to listen to my walkman at school was a bit of a hassle but I managed it!<P>I liked the bit when the news was on and they were playing the highlights from his team.<P>The Shire Horses were great!

Mayo's last show was a cracker. And the Shirehorses two songs were farkin' excellent!<P>I agree that Jo Whiley music taste is a bit pants. Although R1 plays too much R & B for my liking.<P>Any body know when the Shirehorses are playing in London next?
