- Any song that isn't performed by the same people/person who wrote it.
- Any song that uses the word 'baby'..I've heard this was a term of endearment in the 60s but nobody uses it now,so why do so many songs use it??
- Usage of a sample of another song or even worse; a cover version..lazy,unimaginative,untalented.
- A song that uses bad language, sexual references or violence to shock people or to sell more...there's nothing wrong with stretching the boundaries but this is just purile.
- Any singer who puts on a different accent while singing. eg. boybands with fake american accents or garage MCs who, when talking, sound like extras on Eastenders, but when they start singing put on Jamaican accents.
- Boring,cliched rhyming...like 'hands in the air','just don't care' and/or rhymes that don't rhyme...eg. 'Girl' 'World'.
- Any musician who relies on looks ahead of talent.
- A song that repeats the chorus ad nauseum for 4 minutes...Hello Destiny's Child.
- Any song that has 2 or more people singing the same line simultaneously.
- Any song that is written because the artist thinks it's what the people want to here, rather than a what he/she/they want to express...Hello modern MSP/Oasis.

As far as I'm concerned, there's only one thing that makes a song rubbish. It's when it falls into the Rap genre. Mind you, if the entire track is just talking, how can it even be classed as a song?
Paul.
