Nostalgia
is the worst form of procrastination... you see, nothing is easier than to shirk
the responsibilities of the future by finding comfort in past accomplishments
and glories. It is understandable that one might want to remove themselves
from the maddening pace of the world, but it is also laughable when one
tries to do so. Surrounding yourself with the fetishes of a perceived
golden age gone-by in no way connects you with it's greatness. No, undoubtedly
the founders of the past directed their longing gaze in a different direction,
ours, the future. You must do the same. The past is just that, passed.
Now, it's gone too. The future is all that exists, and if you, too wish
to exist it is where you must live. Take some time to relax in the past,
but do not let it consume you, for you must live in the future.

I challenge your reasoning behind living in the future. The future has not happened, hence it's name...the future. Living in the now is what it's (life, sleeping, eating, tugging etc..) all about. Yes we can remember the past, enjoy the good memories, learn from the bad. Also the future is a good place to be able to aim for, in that what you want to happen, you would like to happen. Whether it does or not is down to you. Living in the now, enjoying the now, not harking on about the past and (trying) not to predict/worry/ about the future is what we should be doing. Remember the now, once that second has gone turns into the past. It doesn't turn into the future.
Ghost written by Marty McFly.
[This message has been edited by winker (edited 29 May 2001).]
