He's on, as mr harris realiably informs us.
Will he be reserved so as to not make an arse of himself?
Will he not?
very intriguing...
I'm hoping he will exploit the potential humour generated by richard bacons appaling presenting style.
[This message has been edited by Stevotrash (edited 03 June 2001).]

It might be likely that he doesn't do the radio show that day as a result of having to do the BB early in the morning.
Especially considering chris' normal late night drinking & shinnanagans.

Now is it just me or have all of Moyles' previous attempts at TV been a bit crap, unfunny and, well, embarrassing? Don't get me wrong-I listen to him every day on R1 and think he is an excellent radio presenter but he just can't seem to do TV.
Anyway good luck to him and I hope he does a good job. At least he won't have much difficulty being funnier than the current BB presenters.
A typical Richard Bacon link:
"What I would say is that, um, essentially, um, ah, um, yes, thank you very much!, um, er, hah!, yes, thank you!" [nodding head furiously while staring at script card and fiddling with trousers].
Shouldn’t be too hard for Moyles to rip it out of Bacon!
I agree. I once saw a richard bacon link where he said the phrase "ok....thank you very much" (with the "thank you very much" under his breath somewhat) quite literally every five or six seconds. I think it was a "young fogey" item, and it got to the point that my sister and i would say "ok....thank you very much" in time with him - by the way he also looked more nervous than the kid being interviewed.

Having exams this week has meant I can watch the whole of the big breakfast everyday.
This happening when johnny vaughan was on meant that I found out that it was less funny - as when watching early in the morning just as i got up i would find it hilarious.
Today, on the other hand, it made me realise what a **** richard bacon can be. It seems as though everyone else present (the crew etc) are teaching some kind of mentally disabled monkey how to present tv. The thing about altzimers he said wen't down like a fart in a lift.
hope chris is ok tomorrow.
good luck to him.
oh, and watch out for him scratching his nose :) - a signal to his listeners (like the donkey magic thing) in case you missed what he said today.
Did anybody see a classic bit of Bacon's interviewing skills 2 days ago - when he was interviewing a man about his life story or something and the man said "I went to Cannes this year, and they're going to make it into a film". He prounced the "es" in Cannes and Bacon corrected him "You pronounce it Cann". "Cannes" the man replied, "No - Cann" Bacon said in all seriousness without a smile, "Cannes" he said. In the end, Bacon said "You might be having a film made about your life - but you obviously can't speak English".
By this time the crew were in a state of laughter/shock that he could be so rude and arrogant. Just wait till they see Moyles.
the_dr
