While The Gospel... was more of a traditional autobiography, where Chris wrote about his life and work, The Difficult Second Book was more of a collection of humorous anecdotes and musings about his 'double life'; how he can be talking to a Hollywood star on the Breakfast Show one minute and then sat at home playing XBox in his underpants the next.
Reception
Comedian Stewart Lee criticised and mocked the book on his television programme Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle. The book currently holds a 2.7 stars out of 5 rating on Amazon UK, with far more negative reviews than positive.
