The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I just wondered if anyone here could solve this problem for me...

Over the last few problems, i haven't been able to get onto MSN Messenger as every time i download all the information i get told i need to restart my system in order for the configurations made to MSN Messenger to take effect. This wouldn't be a problem if i was restarting a computer of my own but i only have access to a computer in an internet cafe. This means that every time i restart my computer, i just lose all my credit [for time left] and nothing happens.

So if anyone can help me out, i would be extremely grateful!

Don't use Messenger then? They clearly don't want you to use Messenger in an internet cafe unless it's already on the system.

Never mind - you'll just have to stick to the chat room and icq.

I can use MSN at home, it's when I'm on the uni network I want it for. Noone uses ICQ anymore and the chatroom doesn't work because of the firewall.

The thing is i would have thought this myself but i've been using MSN Messenger in the same internet cafe and i had no problems until MSN updated its previous versions...

I only want to use Messenger as i want to chat to a few online mates that i have on there as there's no other way i can get in proper contact with them as i don't have their telephone numbers or anything. Its been a few months now since i've last been able to get in touch with them...

http://www.mister-i.com/english/messenger.htm

It used to cost 1 euro a month, but now I don't think it costs anything. It's no where as good as the real MSN Messenger, but it will do. It also works on WAP (but thats a pain in the arse)

Wap based..ouch. I have eMSN, but it is very painstaking to try and use. You wait until a ! goes next to their name and you have messages from anyone. Having a conversation with more than 1 person, results in them both being irrate at the slowness in time it takes me to reply.

The "E" stands for Everywhere.

Just a version of MSN Messenger on your mobile.

To be honest - I don't understand why people need this. Why can't they just wait until they get home?
