I'd've thought if they were going for the whole prequel thing, yeah they might do the Hobbit but also they'd probably want to try and get someone to write the story set back when the Rings were made. The fact that we know the general outline of the story doesn't stop them with other movies.

y'see thats just wrong. i'm not a great lord of the rings fan but you shouldnt get some halfwit writing new bits just because the originals were a success. that said i dont think they will anyway.

Well they do it with history, re-write bits and invent new bits to make the movie more interesting in a hollywood way so I doubt they'll have any qualms about doing a similar thing to the LOTR.
Although, the Tolkien estate might bloke them. That's the only thing Hollywood is scared of, being sued.

lol, go ahead and ignore me alex, i really don't care, but i really am sorry for mistaking a message board, as somewhere i could ask a "general" (get it?) question and expect help from some nice and helpful ppl (which i got), i only came here in the 1st place because when i searched on a search engine for the name of that song, this site came up for something to do with the lynx stuff....i really am sooooo sorry, but also maybe you should just stfu and let them decide for themselves if they'd like to ignore me or not, and if they choose to, i respect their decision as it is their own, not because you're telling them to in your childish 8yr old ways...waa lets ignore her, she's bad !
