Colin Murray = Utter Shite

I've watched RI:SE, Ear Candy and listened to Colin and Edith, and he's about as funny as an orphanage on fire. He comes across as one of those people you'd just love to smack their face into the pavement. Let's face it, the death penalty was perfect for people like him.

I now listen to Jonathan Ross on Radio 2 on Saturday and Jimmy Carr on Xfm on Sunday, far better than that gobshite, egotistical wankstain on Radio 1, Colin Murray.

Radio 1 should sack him now and send him back to gravedigging or whatever he did before. I'd rather listen to Spoony then Colin Murray and that's saying something.

Having said all that, I think Edith Bowman is great and should have a show to herself.

Well it was a great show indeed. As the Manchester studio is only 2 minutes walk away from me, I popped down for the show, part of a crowd of about 30/40 odd listeners on the street outside. Radio 1 online took a pic of us:

and we cheered along with the show, and whenever a recognisable face passed by the windows. Chris, Dave and Aled showed up, to cheers, and at the end Mark & Lard appeared together at the window to the biggest cheer of the day:

After the show Aled, Dave and Chris walked past us all, only Chris acknowledging the crowd as he passed. Half an hour after the shows end Mark & Lard came out onto the street to meet those of us who were still hanging around, so I got to shake hands, grab autographs, and enjoy the banter that went on.

It's nice how Moyles went to see them.

As much as people can slag off Radio 1 for letting them go, at least they had a proper send off, instead of brushing them away as quickly as possible with the minimum of fuss. Also, there was barely any mention of Colin and Edith .

They did brush them off a bit too quickly. Could have waited till Coxy was leaving so it didn't mess the schedule around too much and we got a bit more of M&L together.

I get the impression it was more Mark & Lard's choice than Radio 1's. Judging by everything I've heard and seen, I'd guess Lard wanted to leave to pursue a solo project...

Were as Mark was really entering into the spirit of things yesterday, and having a laugh etc. Lard seemed a bit more withdrawn from it... Don't get me wrong, he was joining in and everything, but perhaps as though he was just going through the motions.
