Oh. I genuinely can't understand why he can't seem to hold a steady job in radio. He is very bright and incisive, it just seems wrong for a presenter of his calibre to be doing a crappy 'Best of X' (like his R1 'Hits and Highlights' show) to work out his contract and a Jazz FM weekend show whilst the likes of DJ Spoony can seem to easily hold high profile slots.
From reading what they say about the Sony nominees, it seems they are judging stuff like how well the presenters 'connect' with their audience. Moyles doesn't seem to give a crap about his audience most of the time, which might be why he lost. Now they just read out thousands of text messages all morning they might do better next year.

As far as I'm aware, he's still involved as Chairperson of the Student Radio Awards. Which are only slightly more exciting than the Sonys. - jc
