Has anyone heard the brilliant 'born in england' song by twisted x? An absolute belter of a tune with a cracking kraftwerk inspired b side. The song was devised by listeners of the xfm breakfast show especially for euro 04. Initially, for many weeks the F.A said they were going to back the song.
But then the cowards backed out and sided with the dull as dishwater band 'the farm' (geez), more specifcally a version of all together now re-mixed by DJ Mug Tree.
Regardless of which is your favourite station, dj, etc you must insure that a belting, crowd pleasing anthem is the sound track for our great football team's Euro sucess. There is only one choice and thats born in England.

The official English Euro 2004 song will face stiff competition from an alternative anthem by TWISTED X. Fronted by the Irish comic actor James Nesbitt, featuring members of The Libertines and Supergrass.
The Football Association announced yesterday that a remix of The Farm's "All Together Now" by Radio 1's DJ Spoony had been selected for Portugal. The song was inspired by an unofficial game of football between British and German soldiers on the Western Front on Christmas Day 1914.
Cold Feet actor Nesbitt has already announced that he is to record the alternative football anthem with the Libertines and Supergrass that will take on the official song. Nesbitt joined forces with Carl Barat from the Libertines and Danny Goffey from Supergrass to form Twisted X after rumours that the dire teenage rappers Blazin' Squad were to record the FA anthem.
