The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Anyone manage to watch this? They were talking about it on this mornings show and it turned out to be a good link.

It was making me cringe in some parts of what I was watching, but I heard that people were walking out and that there wasn't much food being served.

I found Angus Deayton was a little poor in presenting it and looked a little ackward, but its good to see him back on TV! Very good to see these Celebs under pressure and looking as if they're about to slit their wrists with the nearest sharp object...

Actually looking at reports today it looks set to be quiet a popular show with people...

If you saw it, tell us what you thought?

I've watched it. 38 people walked out without being served.

Angus is a poor presenter, his jokes are lame, and fail to make me even chuckle.

It's a good television idea, but it's near on impossible to have service with ten people who have never done it before, most people couldn't take the heat.

Well it's a good show except it's exactly the same as I'm a celeb but set in a kitchen. It's made by granada (same as I'm a celeb) and they even have the same numbers.

Oh well, never mind.

/edit: You can't just say it's rubbish. At least tell us why...?

i'll make an effort to watch this more often, if R1's DJ dinner is actually held there

on the program itself, actual celebs (the chefs) would've made it watchable,Gordon's the only reason to watch it, him shouting and swearing at people, always funny (to me)

I watched the first one and didn't like it too much. I haven't heard of half of the people for a start and it is too bitty. Angus doesn't seem too good in this format (he needs to be behind a desk), although I found it quite funny when he was trying to interview Gordon Ramsay but he kept ignoring him.

I thought Gordon Ramsay's Channel 4 show which has just ended was far superior.

Well something you may not know is that Granada Plus is being turned into ITV 3 so not only do they have to fill ITV 2 but now they have to fill ITV 3 as well.

yeah an uglybob knows his sh*te channels.

nothing has inspired me to watch even a minute of this show yet. gordon ramsay is a t*t, he slags off celebrity chefs but he is the radiohead of the cookery world.

I watched his show on channel 4 and although I usually hate him, i thought he did a good job managed to turn around the restaurants (well most of them) and had some really good ideas.

But in Hells Kitchen I cant understand the format that well. I mean the celebs have had a weeks training and hes honestly thinking they can serve nearly 100 people. Makes me wonder if old Gordon is just being forced (or paid) to do this and suffer with the stress. He knows the celebs cant do it but ITV are after the viewings and a good giggle! Create a bit of friction etc.

Another thing, how does the voting go? I heard that we vote a celeb out and gradually the number of people in the kitchen decrease. (In Ramsey style) How the f*** are they supposed to survive?

It's easier to do service with less people. Three people can do 70 peoples food, so why they need ten..

Too many cooks and all that...

I worked in a kitchen for a while a couple of summers ago; 70 people isn't many really, especially if it's staggered. They have lots of assistants too, so I would say four proper chefs would be fine.

It all comes down to how many orders are on at one time, if its steady throughout the night, it works out fine. Kitchens can be quite hellish though, it really depends on how well everyone gets on with everyone.

What is it with head chefs too? They're always complete w***ers.
