This is a challenge. Who will be the first person to reply to this post correctly? What does my name actually mean and where does it come from? Obviously I know, but who else does?

Challenge!!

P.S. I have already posted this challenge on sound requests too, so, there will be competition. :)

bistromaths from bistro (a type of café) and maths. Coined by Douglas Adams to describe the phenomenon of the arithmetic of restaurant bills (checks) failing to match a tally of the items consumed by a table of diners.

Hmmmm . . . . I didn't realise you could get it off google (silly me). Oh well, i thought some of you may actually use your own knowledge. I don't know, what a waste of my time, but, i didn't realise it was a real word. Fantastic! But so much for my dreams of loads of replies. Oh well . . . . :(

Anyway, that's not quite right in fact. I was looking for the specific use of bistomaths by a character in the book. So, come on then, get THAT off google. Which CHARACTER used bistromaths for WHAT?

By the way, the caps are used for emphasis, not anger :)

So come on, tell me, Marmite: Love or Hate?

Big important decisions rest on your shoulders, so USE YOUR VOTE! :)

I though the phrase was relating to that girl off the test card (doing maths or something on the blackboard) and that same girl being remarkably similar to the lass on the bistro packets (with the red hat)

obviiously not
